GenPPT is an AI-powered presentation generator that creates complete slide decks from text prompts. You describe your topic and it generates up to 10 slides at a time, with a chat-based interface for editing.

How is Deckary different from GenPPT?

Deckary works inside PowerPoint as an add-in, while GenPPT is a standalone web tool. With Deckary, you get native .pptx slides, consulting charts, 2,000+ icons, and keyboard shortcuts—all without leaving PowerPoint.

Can GenPPT create consulting-style charts?

No. GenPPT has basic chart options but doesn't include specialized consulting charts like waterfall, Mekko, or Gantt. Deckary includes all of these with Excel linking for easy data updates.

Does GenPPT have a free plan?

As of March 2026, GenPPT offers a $1 trial for 3 days, then paid plans starting at $19/month or $99/year. Check genppt.io for current pricing. Deckary offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

How many templates does GenPPT have?

GenPPT has a limited template selection. Deckary works with any existing PowerPoint template you already have, so you can maintain brand consistency without recreating assets.

Can I edit slides manually in GenPPT?

At the time of our review, GenPPT's editing relied primarily on chat-based AI commands rather than direct manipulation. Verify current capabilities at genppt.io.

Does GenPPT support file imports?

As of March 2026, GenPPT's primary workflow is text-to-PPT. For file import capabilities, check their current documentation.

Can I use my own templates with GenPPT?
