One MCP server for PowerPoint and the Web Builder
Work with the live PPTX open in PowerPoint or a saved browser deck. The external agent owns inference and creative judgment in both.
Read, render, and edit the presentation currently open and shared through the Deckary PowerPoint add-in.

Test and reviewer setup
The same endpoint covers saved Web Builder decks and live PowerPoint, but each interface needs its own test fixture.
Saved Web Builder tools
- Connect https://deckary.com/mcp and sign in with the test account supplied privately.
- Make sure that account contains at least one saved Web Builder presentation with editable content.
- Use list_decks to discover a deck. Read only the slides needed for the edit, and reuse the revision returned by the latest successful call.
Live PowerPoint tools
- Install the Deckary add-in in desktop PowerPoint and sign in with the same test account.
- Open the supplied PPTX fixture, keep the Deckary task pane open, and turn on MCP sharing.
- Use list_live_presentations to discover or reconnect to a session. Read when target handles are missing, inspect only when exact object details are required, and treat a successful edit response as current state plus visual confirmation.
Directory-review credentials and fixture links are submitted privately and must not be published in this documentation.
Troubleshoot the connection
Most failures come from an expired authorization, a closed live session, or presentation state that changed after the agent read it.
Sign-in keeps repeating
Remove the Deckary connector from the agent, connect https://deckary.com/mcp again, and complete OAuth with the intended Deckary account.
No presentations appear
Create or save a Web Builder deck. For PowerPoint, sign in to the add-in with the same account, keep its task pane open, and turn on MCP sharing.
A version conflict is returned
The presentation changed after the agent read it. List or read it again, then retry once with the current revision or artifact version.
A live write has an unknown settlement
Do not retry it automatically. Reconnect if needed, read the live presentation first, and confirm whether the change was already applied.
Deckary limits each agent to your presentations
OAuth scopes account access. Deckary's authoring contract validates each presentation change before saving it.
OAuth access is scoped to the signed-in user's presentations and separated by artifact mode.
Every authored change passes the canonical Deckary presentation validator.
Revision checks reject stale writes instead of overwriting newer work.
Exact slide renders let the external agent inspect the committed pixels.
Live PowerPoint access requires the account-scoped MCP toggle to be on and the add-in task pane to be running.
Live PowerPoint authoring creates a slide or applies targeted edits to one existing slide at a time; protected replacement remains unavailable.
The external agent uses its own model; the MCP server does not invoke Deckary AI.
